IMG_0019Hello and Welcome to my online desk!

This site is created for students and faculty with my own personal tips on education, self-improvement, and anywhere in between. Below is a little bit about me.
Academic Credentials
I come to you with a wealth of knowledge. I currently hold a Master in Business Administration from National University (Class of 2010). I decided to pursue business studies because business is everywhere; it’s in every industry. I finished my Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University College in the fall of 2012. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies from California State University of San Marcos, with an emphasis in Linguistics. I originally wanted to be a grade school teacher, but because of the budget cuts in California, I decided to pursue the Master’s Degrees above so that I could combine them with my professional business experience in order to teach college-level courses.
Professional Experience
I am a Professor at California College San Diego, currently teaching business courses. I’ve been teaching in the post-secondary education industry for 7 years. Previous to my current position, I have taught at a vocational college, United Education International College (UEI), and at a private University, Southern States University. Before becoming an instructor, I previously worked as the for the nation’s largest retail photography firm, Consumers Product Images (CPI Corp). They own all the Sear’s Portrait Studios, Kiddie Candids, Walmart PIcture Me Studios, LaBella Photography, and other various retail photography entities in the Nation. In the classroom, I bring 6 years of retail business experience. Before working in the private sector, I was as a soldier in the US Army. I was stationed on the beautiful island of Hawaii and later deployed to Afghanistan. As a former soldier, I find that I can relate to active duty and veteran members of the community.
Life Goals
  • Currently, I am attending Independence University in pursuit of a Bachelors in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Web Development.
  • After completing the Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, I want to try and complete a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with an emphasis in Mobile Application Development. I believe that programming, specifically mobile application development will be a useful skill to have.
  • I eventually want to get a Master of Science in Information Technology, as I believe the economy is moving towards a data-driven environment where information becomes the most important commodity in business.
  • One of my life goals is to get a Ph.D. or other equivalent degree in either education or business. I am currently looking at San Diego State’s Education Doctoral program as the possible next phase of my academic journey.
