Jaded love he grew tired of
A heart so confused he can’t feel
Restless struggle
Reactive guilt
Ocean of pride
Dead Inside
In 2016 I went through a horrible break-up. These are my letters to you.

I hope you die dancing
In a sea of regret you’ve made
Pills and potions prancing
As your memory fades
By Dru Macasieb
My mind knows that there is no hope
But my heart still hangs on
For some reason, my heart thinks that love will bring us back together
My mind knows that it can’t because what we once were can’t be replicated.
My heart wants to fight.
While my mind imprisons the urges.

I wish we can just put a bandage over it.
And carry on
As if nothing happened
I can’t because
The blood seeps through
The pain dissipates
The scar is wide open
A constant reminder
Of how I let myself go

Conflict
I love you.
You hate me?
You’re beautiful today
I’m ugly other days?
I want you to be happy,
Why are you doing this?
I’m sad.
That’s your problem.
“Tell Me Lies”

You and I
Are so distant
Met with hell-
lacious resistance
I Want to fix
But it’s not broken
Tell me lies
Of love unspoken
Like a flower
We withered and died
But the seeds
Are still inside
The fruit we made
Has not perished
It’s still ripe
It’s still cherished
“And from your ashes you will return
Born a Phoneix with no concern” -Dru Macasieb
By Dru Macasieb
Tears run down an unfamiliar face
Scorching cheeks with their embrace
The tears hang on to his chin
But they let go and they give in,
As they fall with effortless force
Theses sorrow bullets explode and burst
On his pillows they splatter, burn
Igniting fires of lessons learned
The smoke is absent replaced by cries
Getting louder as he tries
To keep composure, be at your best
This is life’s challenge, pass the test
And from your ashes you will return
Born a Phoneix with no concern
About the anger and pain you’ve released
As these are memories of man deceased.
“Walls Always Fall.”
-Dru Macasieb
By Dru Macasieb
A love so strong it broke down walls,
A love too weak they began to fall.
Eventually the love became,
An excruciating prosperous pain.
Then suddenly, with much abrupt,
A seek for vengeance had erupt.
A message sent filled with hate,
Head held high he sealed his fate.
